My husband and I were married on June 11th 2012 overlooking the ocean at El Cid, El Moro Beach in Mazatlan Mexico.  Our entire experience with El Cid exceeded our expectations!  My husband and I were looking for a destination wedding location which was beautiful, fun and affordable.  We decided on Mazatlan Mexico based on recommendations from family and friends and we heard about El Cid from a few people who had vacationed there.

From my initial contact with Mary, our wedding coordinator, it was nothing but smooth sailing!  Mary made everything easy, fun and stress free.  Being completely unfamiliar with the area because I had never been to Mazatlan, I assumed the planning of the wedding and rest of the vacation would be difficult but Mary was there every step of the way to make sure all my questions were answered.  Mary has so much experience that she had recommendations for everything I was in need of.  She recommended a wonderful Photographer and Master of Ceremonies as well as many pre and post wedding activities.

The ceremony and reception were perfect.  The photographer, Tony, who Mary recommended arrived a few hours prior to the ceremony in order to take photos of the moments that led up to the ceremony.  I had three women from the resort spa come to my room the morning of the wedding to do hair and makeup for myself, my matron of honor, my bridesmaid and my mother.  The location for the ceremony and reception was beautiful.  Although all of the food served that week from the resort was delicious, the food served at our reception was top notch!  The staff at the reception was wonderful and everything went smoothly.  Our entire group enjoyed themselves.

Not only was the wedding everything we hoped for, the entire vacation was beyond memorable.  The hotel staff was extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive.  The food at the restaurants and buffets was delicious.  The all inclusive package was worth every penny!  The property and view that comes along with it is remarkable.  Our friends and family enjoyed deep sea fishing, parasailing, sun bathing, a tequila tour, hang gliding and horseback riding just to name a few.  The chef in the restaurant even prepared lunch out of the fish that the guys caught for our entire group one afternoon.

If you’re considering having your wedding at El Cid, I can say without an ounce of hesitation, Do it! You won’t regret it.  My husband and I are already discussing returning for our anniversary sometime in the near future.
